WHAT IS TOX?
A wrinkle relaxer is a cosmetic treatment designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. It typically involves the injection of a neurotoxin, commonly knowns as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau, into specific muscles. The neurotoxin temporarily paralyzes the muscle, preventing them from contracting and thereby smoothing out the overlying skin. Wrinkle relaxers are commonly used on areas such as the forehead, crow's feet, around the eyes, and frown lines between the eyebrows. The effects are usually noticeable within a few days, up to two weeks and can last for 3-4 months before a follow-up treatment is needed.
